Responsibilities
  • Source, develop, and manage meaningful relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identify customer needs and educate customers about personal banking products and services.
  • Contact clients to deepen banking relationships and recommend additional products and services.
  • Take home equity and other retail loan applications, close loans, and refer mortgages to internal partners.
  • Mentor branch colleagues on sales conversations and customer relationship development.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored sales presentations.
  • Partner with Business Banking, Wealth Management, Treasury Management, and Merchant Services to promote their offerings.
  • Participate in outbound calling, local community events, and related activities to increase market awareness.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals.
  • Participate in customer service phone queues by researching issues, reviewing transactions, and redirecting customers to appropriate resources.
  • Manage customer experience and achieve satisfactory service standards and appropriate resolutions.
  • Lead servicing for personal banking products and accounts, including mortgages, retail loans, individual retirement accounts, trust accounts, estates, and commercial accounts.
  • Resolve sensitive customer issues through research, transaction review, and appropriate escalation or redirection.
  • Handle complex customer issues through advanced phone queues.
  • Use tools and resources to organize and analyze customer data, align customer needs with tailored recommendations, and manage the customer opportunity pipeline.
  • Open, maintain, and close consumer, business, and individual retirement deposit accounts.
  • Determine required documentation for transactions and evaluate the bank’s ability to act on customer requests.
  • Assist and educate customers on online banking and mobile technology.
  • Serve as an expert in bank systems and assist colleagues with system troubleshooting.
  • Provide teller services, including balancing the teller drawer, processing customer transactions and cash advances, depositing currency, ordering coin, and performing other teller services.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Open and close the branch as needed.
  • Analyze and identify risks during customer transactions and use compliance and fraud training to respond to and escalate suspicious activity.
  • Lead and execute internal audits to ensure compliance with bank policies and customer service standards.
  • Promote teamwork within the branch.
  • Assist with coaching and developing less experienced colleagues.
  • Serve as a professional role model.
