Requirements
  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the admissions process to provide a positive experience for residents, families, and supporting staff.
  • Plan, direct, and monitor the daily operations of the Admissions Department to meet budgeted resident census goals and ensure professional, efficient admissions.
  • Admit patients to the health care facility.
  • Screen patients by comparing their conditions with admission criteria.
  • Complete admission and financial responsibility forms.
  • Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Sales and Marketing department.
  • Collaborate with leaders of other facility departments to ensure timely communication and enhance the admissions experience of residents and their families.
  • Confirm that insurance benefit coverage meets admissions standards.
  • Coordinate physical, social, emotional, and support service requirements, including transportation.
  • Obtain applicant information by requesting completed applications and medical information, verifying and clarifying information, interviewing patients and family members, and explaining admission criteria.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of facility services available to prospective residents and educate referral sources as appropriate.
  • Oversee patient bed assignments and completion of preliminary admissions paperwork.
  • Complete facility-specific ongoing tasks and projects as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, positive emphasis, and calm throughout the facility.
  • Complete the resident intake process and coordinate with the Director of Nursing and/or Case Manager to confirm admission appropriateness.
  • Maintain and communicate accurate records of bed availability.
  • Initiate, nurture, and maintain contacts with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners to maximize referrals and facilitate admissions.
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
  • Assist, as directed, in planning and executing outreach events such as on-site health fairs, educational programs, and promotional events for hospital discharge planners, physicians, and other key persons.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining professional networks.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in health care or a related field is preferred.
  • Two years of Admissions experience is preferred.
  • An LVN or RN license is preferred.

PACS Group beats Q1 estimates with $0.50 EPS and $1.42B revenue despite 12.5% year-to-date stock decline

PACS Group has appointed Carey P. Hendrickson as chief financial officer, effective 27 April 2026. Hendrickson brings nearly four decades of financial leadership across healthcare, senior living and media sectors. Most recently, Hendrickson served as CFO of U.S. Physical Therapy, overseeing 779 outpatient clinics across 44 states. He previously held CFO roles at Capital Senior Living Corporation, managing 128 communities across 23 states, and Belo Corp. He succeeds Mark Hancock, PACS's co-founder and executive vice chairman, who will retire by 30 June 2026 whilst remaining on the board as vice chairman. PACS Group has announced that co-founder and chief financial officer Mark Hancock will retire on 30 June 2026. He will continue serving on the company's board of directors as vice chairman. Hancock co-founded PACS in 2013 with Jason Murray, starting with two post-acute care facilities in San Diego. Under his leadership, the company expanded to 323 facilities across 17 states, serving over 31,700 patients daily and generating $5.29 billion in revenue in 2025, representing 29.3% year-on-year growth. PACS Group appoints Optum CEO Dr Patrick Conway, former CMS deputy administrator, to board

PACS Group, a leading post-acute healthcare platform, has appointed Dr Patrick Conway to its board of directors. Dr Conway currently serves as CEO of Optum, UnitedHealth Group's health services division with revenues exceeding $200 billion. From 2011 to 2017, Dr Conway served as deputy administrator for innovation and quality at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, where he also held roles as director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation and chief medical officer. During his tenure, he led the transformation of Medicare payment policy, increasing payments in alternative payment models from virtually zero to over 30% of total Medicare payments.
