Requirements

  • Must be able to assist with evacuating residents during emergency situations.
Responsibilities
  • Provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services according to their assessments, care plans, and supervisor direction.
  • Identify residents before administering treatments or serving meals.
  • Use only facility-authorized abbreviations when recording information.
  • Report changes in residents’ conditions to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse.
  • Record information accurately and descriptively on flow sheets, notes, and charts.
  • Report accidents, incidents, occupational exposures, injuries of unknown source, skin tears, resident abuse allegations, property misappropriation, and unauthorized disclosure incidents according to facility procedures.
  • Perform only nursing care procedures and special treatments for which the employee has been trained.
  • Prepare residents’ rooms and belongings for admission, transfer, or discharge.
  • Greet residents, escort them to rooms, introduce them to roommates and personnel, and make them comfortable.
  • Transport residents to rooms, receiving areas, vehicles, beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, and lifts as needed.
  • Maintain a warm, calm, and positive atmosphere throughout the unit and shift.
  • Participate in scheduled nursing personnel meetings to identify problems and improve services.
  • Participate in and receive nursing reports when reporting for duty and as instructed.
  • Follow policies concerning exposure to blood and body fluids.
  • Make beds and provide extra covers as requested.
  • Measure and record residents’ temperatures, pulses, respirations, weights, and measurements as instructed.
  • Check residents who cannot call for help and routinely verify that residents’ personal care needs are met.
  • Answer resident calls promptly.
  • Assist residents with food arrangements, record food and fluid intake, and report changes in eating habits.
  • Keep water pitchers clean, filled with fresh water, and within residents’ reach.
  • Perform after-meal care, including removing trays and cleaning residents’ hands, faces, and clothing.
  • Complete assigned tasks and follow work assignments and schedules.
  • Cooperate with nursing, interdepartmental, and facility personnel to maintain adequate nursing services.
  • Notify the facility when late or absent.
  • Assist residents with dental and mouth care, bathing, grooming, dressing, and undressing.
  • Keep residents dry by changing gowns, clothing, and linens when wet or soiled.
  • Prepare residents for medical tests, physical examinations, laboratory work, X-rays, therapy, and dental procedures.
  • Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transferring residents.
  • Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.
  • Observe and report pressure areas, skin breakdowns, disorientation, comatose conditions, and other resident-care data.
  • Immediately notify the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse when a resident leaves or is missing from the facility.
  • Use only trained equipment and report defective equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident-care information and protected health information.
  • Honor residents’ refusal-of-treatment requests and report them to a supervisor.

PACS Group has appointed Carey P. Hendrickson as chief financial officer, effective 27 April 2026. Hendrickson brings nearly four decades of financial leadership across healthcare, senior living and media sectors. Most recently, Hendrickson served as CFO of U.S. Physical Therapy, overseeing 779 outpatient clinics across 44 states. He previously held CFO roles at Capital Senior Living Corporation, managing 128 communities across 23 states, and Belo Corp. He succeeds Mark Hancock, PACS's co-founder and executive vice chairman, who will retire by 30 June 2026 whilst remaining on the board as vice chairman. PACS Group has announced that co-founder and chief financial officer Mark Hancock will retire on 30 June 2026. He will continue serving on the company's board of directors as vice chairman. Hancock co-founded PACS in 2013 with Jason Murray, starting with two post-acute care facilities in San Diego. Under his leadership, the company expanded to 323 facilities across 17 states, serving over 31,700 patients daily and generating $5.29 billion in revenue in 2025, representing 29.3% year-on-year growth. PACS Group, a leading post-acute healthcare platform, has appointed Dr Patrick Conway to its board of directors. Dr Conway currently serves as CEO of Optum, UnitedHealth Group's health services division with revenues exceeding $200 billion.
