Requirements
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity and 2 years focused on Zero Trust architecture and implementation in the federal government or similar highly regulated environments.
  • Proficiency in Zero Trust technologies and frameworks, including identity and access management (IAM), network segmentation, micro-segmentation, endpoint security, and threat intelligence.
  • In-depth understanding of federal security standards and regulations, including NIST SP 800-207, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive security initiatives to successful completion.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of Zero Trust security strategies tailored to the unique requirements of federal government agencies. Provide expert guidance on best practices and emerging trends in Zero Trust security.
  • Ensure compliance with federal security policies, standards, and regulations. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and enforce Zero Trust policies, ensuring alignment with government directives and frameworks such as NIST and FISMA.
  • Design and architect Zero Trust solutions, including network segmentation, identity and access management, continuous monitoring, and threat detection and response. Ensure the integration of Zero Trust principles into existing and new IT infrastructure.
  • Oversee the implementation of Zero Trust technologies and solutions, including multi-factor authentication, least privilege access, micro-segmentation, and advanced threat protection. Manage the ongoing operation and maintenance of Zero Trust environments.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats within federal IT systems. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies in accordance with Zero Trust principles.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and awareness campaigns to educate federal employees and stakeholders on Zero Trust concepts, policies, and practices. Foster a culture of security awareness and vigilance.
  • Lead incident response efforts related to security breaches or threats within Zero Trust environments. Coordinate with federal incident response teams to contain and remediate security incidents promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, compliance, and executive leadership, to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of Zero Trust initiatives. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
