  • Experience owning API-heavy or integration-dense platforms, including third-party vendors, partner APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Experience working with agents, distribution partners, or external sales channels and maintaining partner trust.
  • Experience translating ambiguous business problems into clear technical requirements and bridging business and engineering teams.
  • A proven track record of directly improving distribution and conversion metrics such as gross written premium growth, quote-to-bind rates, or channel activation at meaningful scale.

Responsibilities
  • Define and own the multi-year product strategy and vision for the Quoting and Distribution platform, spanning quote and bind flow, the application programming interface and integrations layer, and the vendor data ecosystem.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quote-to-bind conversion and accelerate distribution channel growth by modernizing quoting infrastructure, expanding partner integrations, and embedding artificial intelligence capabilities.

  • Monitor trends in distribution technology, comparative raters, artificial intelligence, and InsurTech partnerships and translate them into a competitive roadmap.
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for the quoting and distribution platform, including discovery, prioritization, requirements, delivery, and post-launch performance.
  • Lead cross-functional execution of major platform initiatives with Engineering, Partnership and Distribution, Marketing, and Insurance Business teams.
  • Translate complex integration and business requirements into product requirements documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Own metrics including gross written premium growth through distribution channels and quote-to-bind conversion rate.
  • Serve as the primary bridge between distribution, sales, insurance business teams, and Engineering.
  • Build partnerships with distribution partners, agents, and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate strategy, tradeoffs, and outcomes to leadership using data and business impact.
  • Drive the evolution of the quoting and binding platform to enable faster, more reliable, and scalable quote experiences across distribution channels.
  • Own the application programming interface and integrations layer, including vendor data integrations, third-party partner connections, and quoting data quality and governance.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to embed artificial intelligence into quoting workflows, data enrichment, and partner experiences to increase automation, accuracy, and intelligence at scale.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning in a quoting, distribution, or underwriting context, including scoping, evaluating, and deploying artificial intelligence to make platforms AI-native.
  • Experience working with or building quoting, rating, or distribution platforms in property and casualty insurance or related industries.
  • Familiarity with comparative rater integrations, InsurTech distribution partnerships, or embedded insurance channels.

Update: As Markets Enter Correction Territory, Fintech Ipo Index Plunges 4.8%

Markets were awash in a sea of red this past week, and the broader gauges, such as the Dow and the SP 500 Stock Index, have touched correction territory, down at least 10% from their peaks. The FinTech IPO Index fared no better through the past five days, sinking 4.8%, and there were few positive returns to be seen among the downdraft.
