Delta Solutions is seeking a Global Sensor and Asset Manager Watch Officer to support the United States Space Command Joint Operations Center at Peterson AFB, CO. This position directly supports USSPACECOM’s Protect and Defend mission by ensuring the JOC Director is ready to conduct operations in the space Joint Operations Area. The GSAM Watch Officer will train with and directly support operational crews to provide the Battle Watch Commander with updates and recommendations regarding space support to theater operations throughout each shift.
The ideal candidate is an individual who enjoys having their finger on the pulse of the Nation’s global space situational awareness missions, having daily insight into the deployment of US and other nation space capabilities, directly participating in Missile Warning / Missile Defense operations, having the lifestyle flexibility provided by operational crew shift schedules, and being a key contributor to decisions made by senior leaders in a combatant command.
What you will be doing:
- Training with supported crews to become certified in JOC mission areas and responsibilities – learning new tools and skills – integrating DoD, National and Commercial capabilities enabling the USSPACECOM Protect and Defend mission
- Providing GSAM support for 24/7 USSPACECOM JOC by providing Provide Global sensor and asset management component of USSPACECOM Common Operating Picture (COP). Delta Solutions GSAMs currently augment the government GSAMs to fill gaps in operational schedules. Although not currently a 24/7 crew position, 24-hr shift rotations to augment government crews can be expected each month to fill gaps in the crew schedule and maintain operational proficiency.
- Provide updates and recommendations to the Battle Watch Commander (BWC) regarding Global sensor and asset management system status.
- Provide updates and recommendations to the Battle Watch Commander (BWC) regarding Global sensor and asset management system status.
- Coordinate with Missile Warning Center (MWC) for activities and impacts to the MW architecture.
- Utilize appropriate MW/MD systems (C2BMC, PDSM, GCCS-J, etc)
- Participate in appropriate MW/MD telephonic conferences from the JOC floor.
- Participate in all JOC training and exercise events, as required.
What you will need:
- Ability to work crew shifts supporting a mission essential 24/7 operations environment and contribute to the team’s success
- Ability to work collaboratively with other USSPACECOM and Space Force missile warning/missile defense organizations to integrate processes and procedures, streamline operations, and share tools, technologies and expertise.
- Willingness to learn new tools and skills essential to mission success
- A working understanding of missile warning and defense, the reporting architecture, and familiarization with various missile types and capabilities
- Knowledge of various Space Support system tools such as C2BMC, PDSM, Space Board, GAP-CIE, GCCS-J, etc. Hands-on experience preferred but not required
- The ability to converse with senior officers, share your expertise, and work in a high ops tempo when called upon
- An active TS/SCI Clearance is required to be considered for this position

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $115,000-$125,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
