Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience with network engineering and information technology systems design and integration is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with virtualization and cloud environments is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
  • One of the following certifications or an equivalent is required: Cisco Certified Network Associate, Juniper Network Certified Associate, Cisco Certified Network Professional, or Juniper Certified Network Professional.
  • An active Secret clearance is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical reviews of engineering design and implementation plans for network infrastructure modernization projects to ensure compliance with established network architecture.
  • Oversee local area network, metropolitan area network, and wide area network surveys, design, and implementation.
  • Provide technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale integrated networks.
  • Assist in developing emerging technical network architecture, standards, and specifications.
  • Analyze and assess local area network, metropolitan area network, and wide area network hardware and provide technical recommendations regarding network equipment performance and specifications.
  • Evaluate current or emerging network technologies based on cost, maturity or readiness, compatibility, and usability.
  • Provide technical direction for information technology projects, including high availability and virtualization projects.
  • Lead collaborative efforts with developers, designers, product owners, and partner organizations to rapidly develop prototype technical software and hardware solutions.
  • Collaborate with agencies and programs as a solutions consultant to determine optimal cloud solutions.
  • Evaluate environments for migration, work in sandboxes, and architect solutions tailored to Army needs.
  • Coordinate solution design and architecture with existing project teams to ensure alignment with Army projects.
  • Work directly with implementation teams to provide technical guidance and establish implementation priorities.
  • Coordinate technical execution of transformation projects and deconflict project activities.
  • Design, develop, and implement an enterprise data management solution to enhance customer operations.
  • Direct customer engagements to determine requirements and provide technical updates to the Product Manager.
  • Provide assessments of infrastructure modernization and project costs, design concepts, and design changes.
  • Evaluate and document design specifications, installation instructions, and other infrastructure- and system-related information.
  • Verify the stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of system architecture.
  • Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions and ensure compatibility of infrastructure and system components, including COT integration.
  • Provide technical guidance or support for system development and troubleshooting.
  • Identify information and communications technology infrastructure components required to meet requirements and ensure secure systems.
  • Analyze the integration and operation of complete information and communications technology infrastructure components and systems.
  • Investigate the suitability of system components for specified purposes and make recommendations regarding component use.
  • Develop or approve project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Define and analyze objectives, scope, issues, and organizational impact of information and communications technology infrastructure.
  • Establish standards to ensure operational, quality, and design requirements and constraints are addressed.
  • Evaluate existing infrastructure to determine effectiveness and suggest changes to meet requirements.
  • Research, test, and verify the proper functions of patches and fixes.
  • Communicate project information through presentations, technical reports, and white papers.
  • Analyze or predict system performance under different operating conditions.
  • Support the TMD lead as required.

OBXtek appoints new President and CEO. OBXtek today announced that the Company's Board of Directors has appointed Aaron Drabkin as its new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective April 3, 2026. Mr. Drabkin succeeds Dale Spencer in this role upon his retirement. "On behalf of the Board and entire OBXtek team, we thank Dale for his excellent leadership and dedication to OBXtek. OBXtek awarded subcontract under MRATS program. OBXtek today announced that the Company was awarded a role as a subcontractor to Advanced Concepts Enterprises, Inc. (ACEs) under the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), Mission Readiness and Training Support Services (MRATS) contract. "This win is in line with our goal of growing our footprint within the AFSOC community. We're proud support our warfighters and help ensure mission readiness" said Dale Spencer, President and CEO. AFSOC provides Air Force special operations forces for worldwide deployment and assignment to regional unified commands. The command's Special Operations Forces (SOF) are composed of highly trained, rapidly deployable Airmen, conducting global special operations missions ranging from precision application of firepower to infiltration, exfiltration, resupply and refueling of SOF operational elements. Under this award, OBXtek will provide mission readiness and training support services at RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom, directly contributing to AFSOC's operational training and readiness objectives.
