Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university and 3-5 years of experience OR Master's degree in Construction Engineering from an accredited college or university and 1-2 years of engineering experience
  • A solid technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn are essential
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required
  • Strong knowledge of structural design and a working knowledge of general building systems
  • General understanding the International Code Council Building Codes, ASCE7, and associated standards
  • Lead or participate in risk engineering teams for building site visits to assess the performance of the structure
  • Work with the team in developing future resilience based programs and plans
  • Assist the team in identifying building metrics that can be incorporated into future AI
  • Work with other Archipelago teams internally, to improve quality of the product
  • Knowledgeable on the trends and best practices in the engineering community
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and work alone or within a team environment
  • Think strategically, act tactically, delegate appropriately, work well with others, and promote a safe and collaborative work environment
