Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction, engineering, or scheduling.
  • Experience managing personnel.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage and retain positive working relationships while effectively delegating task-driven responsibilities to project personnel.
  • The ability to identify, track, and manage project risk.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of the project, including construction, budget, and cash management, ensuring compliance with the project contract and owner needs.
  • Develop and manage the project schedule, pay estimates, procedures, staffing, and equipment resources for timely and accurate project production.
  • Assess initial project contracts and documents for completeness and resolve specification, contract conflicts, and scheduling issues with the owner.
  • Coordinate with project personnel to update the construction schedule and adjust for change orders, working with the Area Manager on cost or schedule changes.
  • Create and present monthly cost and revenue forecasts and reports to Flatiron leadership.
  • Build internal and external relationships with Flatiron departments and the project owner to support the work plan and payment schedule.
  • Review and approve media news releases related to the project.
  • Act as the main contact for third-party stakeholders, including landowners, local business owners, and government agencies.
  • Conduct daily and weekly safety checks at the project site to ensure compliance with safety programs, and facilitate safety reviews and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the project superintendent to identify staffing and equipment needs for efficient project production.
  • Collaborate with internal legal counsel to resolve project disputes.
  • Lead project closeout procedures, finalize contract paperwork, obtain retainages, resolve project claims, and conduct project debriefs.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is highly regarded.
