About the Role:

Upgrade is looking for a talented and experienced Learning and Development Instructional Design Supervisor to join our dynamic team. In this leadership role, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing the creation and delivery of high-quality learning programs that empower employees across the organization. You’ll not only leverage your own ID expertise but also guide and mentor a team of Instructional Designers, ensuring a consistent and impactful learning experience for all. This is an on-site position based in our downtown Phoenix office.

What You’ll Do:

Partner with business leaders to identify skill gaps and learning needs.
Translate business objectives into comprehensive learning strategies and roadmaps.
Manage the Learning and Development budget for instructional design projects.
Maintain a deep understanding of adult learning principles and best practices.
Develop high-quality learning materials using diverse methodologies (eLearning modules, instructor-led training, simulations, etc.).
Stay current on emerging learning technologies and instructional design trends.
Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to Instructional Designers.
Foster a collaborative and supportive learning and development environment.
Ensure clear communication and delegation of tasks across the ID team.
Implement a quality assurance process for all learning materials and programs.
Analyze learning program effectiveness through assessments and feedback mechanisms.
Continuously identify opportunities for improvement in learning content and delivery.
Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure project success.
Utilize project management tools and methodologies effectively.

What We Look For:

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
7+ years of experience in instructional design, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
Proficiency in instructional design software (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, AI Based tools)
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with learning management systems (LMS)
