  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 20+ years related to structural analysis
  • In-depth understanding of loading scenarios, free body diagrams, behavior of aircraft components, and mechanics of composite materials
  • Advanced proficiency in hand calculations and finite element analysis of composite structures and metallic structures
  • Proficient with programming, scripting, and engineering automation
  • Ability to generate and review detailed structural analysis reports and aircraft type certification documents
  • Excellent understanding of static versus dynamic analysis
  • Experience with the manufacturing of composite parts or mechanical systems
  • FAA DER Structures Candidate
  • Proficiency with NX or other CAD software
  • Expert knowledge of Femap/Nastran and Abaqus
  • Hands-on experience working within aircraft certification program
  • Excellent understanding of FAR Part 23/27 regulations
  • Experience with Fatigue and Damage Tolerance
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate structural integrity through hand calculations and finite element methods
  • Develop methods based on structural analysis hand calculations and finite element modeling
  • Author and review stress analysis documentation
  • Support stress team engineers with tool automation
  • Support component and assembly tests
  • Mentor and develop junior structural analysis engineers
  • Collaborate with suppliers and engineers throughout product development process
