Requirements
  • 6–8+ years of hands-on experience in growth or digital marketing, with direct channel ownership across email, SEO, paid media, and website management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage high-performing email programs.
  • Proven track record running paid search and paid social campaigns independently — not just overseeing them.
  • Experience managing agency and vendor relationships, including briefing, reviewing output, and holding partners to performance standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent hands-on experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the evolution of our digital ecosystem, transforming our websites into high-performing growth channels that drive audience acquisition, engagement, and revenue.
  • Own website performance end-to-end, combining hands-on execution with data-driven optimization to improve user experience, conversion rates, and overall business impact.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO and content discoverability strategy that strengthens organic growth and maximizes the value of our expanding content library.
  • Lead the development of new digital properties and growth initiatives, leveraging agency and vendor partners where appropriate while maintaining direct ownership of outcomes and execution.
  • Own the strategy, execution, and performance of our email marketing and CRM programs, building systems that deepen audience engagement and drive measurable business results.
  • Lead the ongoing evolution of HubSpot, including audience segmentation, lifecycle marketing, automation, and data quality, with direct involvement in the work rather than solely managing it.
  • Build and optimize subscriber growth, retention, and re-engagement strategies that improve both audience quality and long-term value.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders and external specialists to ensure every campaign is technically sound, editorially strong, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Own paid acquisition strategy and execution across key platforms, driving measurable growth in audience, subscribers, product sales, and other core business objectives.
  • Personally contribute to campaign development, optimization, testing, and performance analysis while effectively leveraging agency partners to extend capacity and expertise.
  • Manage agency relationships with clear direction, rigorous performance expectations, and accountability for results.
  • Continuously improve acquisition efficiency through disciplined budget management, audience development, creative testing, and landing page optimization.
  • Own the measurement framework for our marketing efforts, ensuring decisions are grounded in accurate data, clear attribution, and meaningful business outcomes.
  • Build reporting and analytics systems that provide leadership with clear visibility into performance, opportunities, and priorities across all owned channels.
  • Lead a culture of testing and continuous improvement, translating performance data into actionable recommendations that drive growth.
  • Ensure our marketing operations, CRM practices, and digital properties maintain high standards of compliance, data integrity, and responsible customer data management.
  • Establish scalable processes that keep audience data accurate, organized, and aligned with evolving privacy and platform requirements.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies across owned channels, translating company objectives into clear priorities, measurable goals, and actionable plans that drive business results.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of marketers, strengthening both executional excellence and strategic thinking while building a high-performing growth marketing function.
  • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution, leveraging agency and vendor partners where appropriate while maintaining accountability for performance, quality, and outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Background in media, publishing, content, or personal brand businesses is a meaningful plus.
  • Experience managing a small team of direct reports, including coaching and day-to-day project management.
  • HubSpot — CRM, email marketing, automation, lifecycle workflows, and reporting.
  • WordPress — content management, plugin management, and basic troubleshooting
  • Google Ads — search, display, and YouTube campaign management
  • Google Analytics 4 — custom reporting, funnel analysis, and attribution modeling

"The Axios Show": Mel Robbins Inc.

"The Axios Show": Mel Robbins Inc. Axios CEO Jim VandeHei previews his interview with Mel Robbins for "The Axios Show." Watch the episode. Mel Robbins has sold more books to more people in less time than almost any human in history. * The result: a booming Mel Robbins Inc. Why it matters: Robbins, with books in 64 languages, is a modern content creation machine on steroids - pumping out books, podcasts, viral clips, public speeches, and soon consumer goods. Her lessons apply to big companies and individual social media talents. But don't call her talent. * "I, first and foremost, consider myself a businesswoman," the bestselling author of "The Let Them Theory" says on a new episode of "The Axios Show." "I don't consider myself talent or this or that." Robbins, 57, is building a media empire around a single asset - herself. Her staff of 50-plus employees and contractors manages her book tour, her 40 million social media followers and her production company, 143 Studios. * The various formats of "The Let Them Theory" sold 7 million units in nine months. It's been on the New York Times bestseller list for 40 weeks. Her earlier books - "The 5 Second Rule" and "The High 5 Habit" - sold millions. * Her team told us "The Mel Robbins Podcast" has over half a billion downloads. People have spent 38 million hours watching it on YouTube - equivalent to 4,335 years. * "We are an advertising-supported media company," she said. Robbins has expanded to creating content for corporate partners, leveraging the same core asset - her. Next up: consumer products. Robbins has what companies and aspiring influencers crave: attention. And she has a few rules for getting it and maximizing it: * Vital, not viral. "You can't think about virality," she says. "Make content absurdly useful to a specific group of people. Only then will it stick and spread. "Stop obsessing over views and start obsessing over" making it indispensable. * Bet on you. "Don't ever make a deal that you are going to regret in success," she says. It's easy to take easy money or easy shortcuts for short-term wins. Don't. "You have to bet on yourself," she told us. "And you only do that by asking: If this actually works, am I going to be pissed off I signed this deal?" * You bring the weather. "Your energy is currency," she says. "I want you to understand that you bring the weather. That means you can be the sun or you can be the storm." Obsess about how you want people to see and feel about you after you leave the room: "Because people don't invest in businesses. They invest in people." | Watch the full episode. Go deeper. Oct 7, 2025 - The Axios Show Mel Robbins - bestselling author, podcaster and businesswoman - joined Axios CEO Jim VandeHei on "The Axios Show" in Manhattan to discuss how some of her lowest moments led to a media empire. * Their conversation included Robbins' tips for navigating a chaotic world, a breakdown of her signature "The Let Them Theory," and insights on how energy is currency. Between the lines: After initially mocking the premise behind Robbins' "The Let Them Theory," the bestselling book in the world, VandeHei bought into the game-changing advice to stop letting others' actions and words bother and control us.
