  • BLS or CPR/AED training from the American Heart Association BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers program is required; online programs are not accepted.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Keyboarding and clerical skills are required and will be tested.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and telephone skills are required.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and complete assigned tasks are required.
  • The ability to work independently is required.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain regulatory standards involving the medical record.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the nursing manager or assistant nursing manager.
  • Complete competencies needed to perform duties in a specific clinical patient-care setting.
  • Coordinate and perform duties necessary to manage and organize the nursing unit, including reception and secretarial duties and accurate communication among the healthcare team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous healthcare-setting experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology to read, write, and comprehend.
  • Knowledge of hospital computer order-entry systems.
  • Prior clerical or nursing-assistant experience.
