Whatnot is bringing it to the world through a community-first approach, starting in the U.S. where retail is a $5T market opportunity!

💻 Role

• Build our influencer marketing practice
  • We’re deeply invested in influencer marketing as a critical channel, and as our Head of Influencer Marketing, you’ll oversee and lead the practice at Whatnot.
  • Develop the strategy, grow a team, and work with category marketers and vertical teams to drive execution and results.
  • Define and monitor key success metrics and manage yourself and the category marketers towards those metrics. 
• Scale growth 
  • Build the playbook category marketers and vertical teams to run best in class influencer programs for their categories for influencers
  • Partner cross functionally with product, engineering, BD, GTM, and others to ensure the products and programs needed to scale our practice are developed and scaled.
• Lead
  • Be a steward of our product. Ensure that we’re meeting the needs of your team and the influencer marketing practice. Work with cross-functional partners to bring solutions to light that can serve our influencers.
  • As the success of the program grows, you will hire and manage a team of influencer marketers.

As our next Head of Influencer Marketing you should have 8+ years of marketing experience, plus:   

• Experience at a high-growth startup, marketplace or creator-focused platform.
• You’re a world-class leader with experience building out and scaling a marketing team. 
• Experience running a full stack influencer program at a scaled digital brand, including top creators, micro/category influencers, and a longtail / affiliate program.
• You have a proven track record of running a growth-centric, measurement, and investment based influencer practice directly tied to business performance, and can speak to the tangible impact your work in building an influencer program has had on both a brand and business.
• You speak in terms of CAC, LTV, payback period, and can comfortably get into the metrics, build tracking, and speak to the growth impact of your practice.
• You’re a creative content creator and copywriter.
• You’re immersed in internet culture and can use that knowledge to identify trends, creators and opportunities for the Whatnot brand to build and grow.
• You are deeply analytical and comfortable understanding and manipulating data to gain and take action on business insights.
• You are comfortable operating on a small team and will get in the weeds to produce results in a highly ambiguous environment. You are scrappy and no job is too small.
