Requirements
  • Current & good standing RN License in State of New York
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, & elderly
  • Have patience & willingness to assist any residents & co-workers
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, & organization skills
  • Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff
  • Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED
Responsibilities
  • Organizes/oversees/supervises assigned unit activities & staff assignments
  • Demonstrates clinical expertise which is consistent with the established standards of Nursing Practice
  • Identifies & responds, appropriately & timely, to patient needs
  • Monitors, observes, & documents vital signs, treatments administered, & patient responses
  • Administers medications & treatments as needed
  • Communicates & directs services or any plan/concerns/information to appropriate team members, resident, family, or medical staff
  • Identifies & follows disciplinary action as stated in policy
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team, physicians, & other vendors/services
  • Performs RN assessment to resident’s post incidents or change in condition
  • Leads & directs emergency situations – (Fire, Elopement, etc.)
  • Maintains accurate nursing report, staffing sheets, & census roster
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with geriatric/short term rehab/Alzheimer’s patients is desirable
  • Progressive nursing experience, supervisory experience preferred
