Requirements
  • Completion of between one (1) and two (2) years of post-secondary training/education in marketing, education, or a museum-related discipline.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working as a Brand Ambassador or Field Representative, including previous supervisory experience.
  • At least one (1) year of experience as a tour guide, educator, or in a similar role, with the ability to lead hour-long guided tours.
  • Experience in storytelling and delivering engaging presentations to diverse audiences, including delivering educational content and engaging visitors meaningfully.
  • Ability to motivate a team.
  • Interpersonal, customer service, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional appearance and the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Availability for evenings, mornings, and afternoons on weekends.
  • Availability to attend off-site events in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
Responsibilities
  • Execute and deliver onsite and offsite promotional experiences, speaking knowledgeably about the Museum’s key exhibitions and programs.
  • Deliver scripted guided experiences, including guided tours and scavenger hunts, for visitors of all ages.
  • Set up and take down signage, activity stations, promotional booths, and other required materials.
  • Supervise a team of Promotions Ambassadors, ensuring high-quality service and successful event execution.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including research and script editing.
