- The candidate must have 2+ years of full-time, professional experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar high-performance technology role.
- Must have proven experience troubleshooting application, networking, and operating system level issues.
- Must have strong proficiency with both Windows and Linux operating systems, and be comfortable in desktop and command-line environments.
- Must have solid scripting skills in one or more languages, such as Python, PowerShell, Ruby, or Bash.
- Must have experience with containerization technologies, database administration, and observability best practices.
- Must be familiar with data formats including JSON, XML, and Parquet.
- Must be able to manage shifting priorities and perform under pressure.
- Must have strong communication skills with a focus on resolving uncertainty and collaborating with multiple teams.
- Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on documentation.
- Must be able to work on-site in the Chicago office.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must have valid, ongoing, unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored or self-initiated immigration filings.
- Design, build, and manage automation for workflows and data pipelines.
- Create tools to improve system reliability.
- Assist developers in troubleshooting complex issues related to programming and networking.
- Deploy and configure applications using configuration management tools.
- Help manage core infrastructure, from containerized environments to deploying and maintaining technology assets in on-premises and co-located data centers.
- Collaborate with software developers, traders, and quantitative researchers to ensure health and stability of trading systems and infrastructure.
