- Experience in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Two years of business-to-business sales experience is strongly preferred.
- One year of experience handling price quotations is required.
- Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and efficient, especially regarding customer response times.
- Proactively call abandoned-cart leads, web leads, and quote leads to convert them to sales.
- Proactively call new auto-ship leads to grow customers in the auto-ship program.
- Achieve monthly lead-conversion goals.
- Maintain responsibility for bids from beginning to end, including submission and outcome documentation.
- Prepare and submit price quotations to commercial accounts and state and local government agencies.
- Learn pricing guidelines provided through bid matrices and escalate quotations to upper management when the matrices do not suffice.
- Understand customer types and buying motivations, identify bid opportunities with existing customers, and identify new avenues for obtaining quote opportunities.
- Respond to all customers in a timely manner, typically within 24 hours, while adhering to pricing guidelines.
- Work with Sales Account Managers and the Department Manager to determine appropriate pricing responses and identify proactive opportunities to submit bids.
- Provide backup for the auto-ship/blanket coordinator by learning the auto-ship process for new setups, modifications, and daily auto-ship reports.
- Attend mandatory product training and remain current on product and technology issues.
- Adhere to New Pig’s safety, environmental, and quality standards.
