Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary contact for prospective and admitted students and maintain a portion of applications for six M.D. and dual-degree programs.
  • Respond to questions and concerns regarding admissions policies, procedures, requirements, and related information.
  • Communicate the School of Medicine's mission and vision through graduate fairs, virtual fairs, presentations, and social media to maximize applicant quality.
  • Evaluate application credentials for first-round cognitive and non-cognitive review based on criteria established by the Committee on Admissions and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs or Associate Dean for Admissions.
  • Present an overview of the School of Medicine, including its philosophy, curriculum, resources, student life, and application process.
  • Manage the application management system and interact with outside vendors, the general public, prospective applicants, and current applicants.
  • Serve as a primary contact for students regarding interview day and work with faculty and staff to execute interview days successfully.
  • Manage interviewer onboarding and communicate proactively to confirm and adjust interview schedules.
  • Welcome interviewed applicants in group settings and meet individually with interviewees who have additional application-process questions.
  • Support the Student Ambassador Program by coordinating activities, training sessions, recruitment efforts, and ongoing communications.
  • Manage the admissions office's social media presence by curating content, engaging with followers, and coordinating a content calendar for events, student stories, and deadlines.
  • Prepare and analyze data by compiling candidate-performance and interviewer-feedback metrics, identifying trends, and generating insights to refine interview training and structure.
  • Collaborate with Admissions Officers and administrative offices including Advancement, the Office of the Dean, Student Affairs, Financial Aid, the Registrar, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging.
  • Assist the Director of Admissions by attending official School of Medicine functions such as recruitment fairs and Second Look Day.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of experience working in Admissions.
  • Experience in basic web design, graphic design, and social media strategy or campaigns.
  • Comfort working with data and tracking basic applicant demographics and metrics.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FERPA.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • The ability to multitask and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and attention to detail.
