Lucky Strike misses revenue and EBITDA targets, blames World Cup and NBA Finals traffic drop

Lucky Strike missed Wall Street's expectations in Q2, reporting revenue of $303.9 million versus estimates of $310.5 million and adjusted EBITDA of $74.07 million against forecasts of $86.61 million. The company attributed the shortfall to external factors including the World Cup and NBA Finals, which kept customers at home during peak weeks. CEO Thomas Shannon said millions of consumers who would typically bowl on Friday or Saturday nights watched sports from home for five straight weeks. The company also faced weather challenges affecting its water park business and acknowledged marketing spend underperformed. EBITDA guidance for 2027 came in at $350 million at the midpoint, below analyst estimates of $377.3 million. Operating margin declined to 3.2% from 5% year-on-year.

Lucky Strike's waterpark operations showed improvement, with increased per-capita spending and reduced labour costs. Capital expenditures fell roughly $80 million from fiscal 2024 levels. Lucky Strike Entertainment reports Q3 revenue up 0.7% to $342.2M amid weather disruptions and Middle East conflict impact

Lucky Strike Entertainment reported third quarter results for fiscal year 2026, with total revenue increasing 0.7% to $342.2 million from $339.9 million year-over-year. Same-store revenue rose 0.2%, whilst net income grew to $16.9 million from $13.3 million. However, adjusted EBITDA declined to $109.0 million from $117.3 million in the prior year. Lucky Strike now operates 368 locations, including a recently acquired water park. Year-to-date capital expenditures decreased to $90.1 million from $117.5 million.
