Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • Two to three additional years of hospitality management or equivalent experience are required.
  • Thorough knowledge of general business administration practices, state liquor laws, sanitation laws, and food and beverage service operational practices and procedures is required.
  • At least three years of similar experience in progressively responsible positions is required.
  • Prior supervisory experience is required.
  • The employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, kneel, use their hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear regularly.
  • The employee must regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • The employee must have close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.
  • The employee must work shifts as necessary based on business levels.
Responsibilities
  • Provide an exceptional banquet experience for guests in the catering and banquet dining areas.
  • Assign work schedules and train staff in service procedures.
  • Set up and break down banquet and buffet tables.
  • Manage banquet service and inventory.
  • Oversee the hiring, orientation, and training of all banquet service staff.
  • Work closely with the Banquet Operations Manager, Food and Beverage Director, Executive Chef, and Catering Sales Managers to ensure that banquet service staff provides immediate and proper attention to members and guests.
  • Resolve member and guest complaints immediately and professionally.
  • Greet members and guests in a warm, friendly, and pleasant manner, making them feel welcome and at ease.
  • Direct service in all banquet rooms and evaluate and direct banquet service personnel to ensure that service standards are met and each guest is attended to professionally.
  • Ensure that all food and beverages are served according to the specifications in the banquet contract.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and proper setup of banquet rooms before, during, and after events.
  • Ensure food and beverage product quantities and quality standards in production and service facilities are consistent with the banquet event order and guest satisfaction.
  • Serve as the floor supervisor during banquet functions and ensure that food and service standards are maintained.
  • Ensure audiovisual and other special presentation materials and equipment are set up and operating before events.
  • Ensure proper setup and breakdown of banquet tables, chairs, head tables, display tables, theme decorations, and other equipment as requested in the contract.
  • Plan and write banquet server schedules based on booked and expected banquet business volumes.
  • Operate within established guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints and assist with implementing mandatory food and beverage operating standards.
  • Ensure service procedures are followed as outlined in the TPC Brand Standards.
  • Complete special projects and other assigned duties.
