DBT Labs acquires SDF Labs to boost data transformation.
Dbt Labs Inc. has acquired SDF Labs Inc. to enhance SQL code comprehension within its platform. SDF Labs, launched in June 2024, offers a framework for compiling and understanding SQL, built with Rust and integrated with dbt. This acquisition aims to boost developer productivity, improve data quality, and enhance dbt's user experience. SDF's technology will also benefit dbt's other products, such as dbt Mesh and dbt Copilot. SDF's team, including CEO Lukas Schulte, will join dbt Labs.
Dbt Labs appointed Sally Jenkins as chief marketing officer, a role that will capitalize on Jenkins' extensive experience in enterprise software and data-driven marketing.
