Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from ABET accredited civil engineering program
  • Master of Science (MS) degree from ABET accredited civil engineering program a plus
  • 4-8 years of full-time civil engineering experience in an engineering firm, with exposure to analysis, design, and documentation for site civil / land development projects
  • Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) exam and EIT Certification required
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
  • LEED or other sustainable building certification a plus
  • critical thinking, analytical problem-solving skills, technical expertise, attention to detail, adaptability, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities
  • Utilization of Autodesk Civil 3D for design and documentation
  • Establishment of project design criteria, procedures and processes
  • Perform civil and site engineering analysis for site plans, site layout, utilities, stormwater management, green infrastructure, earthwork, grading, erosion control under the guidance of a senior engineer
  • Preparation of due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer opinion of probable costs, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm water reports, earthwork analysis
  • Preparation of permit applications for applicable jurisdictional agencies
  • Lead the preparation of design documentation including Civil 3D models, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Conduct research on materials, products, building codes, systems, and sustainable design practices to inform project decisions
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including architecture, sustainability, construction, and other consultants, to support the integrated delivery of projects
  • Evaluate system selection based on analysis of multiple design options
  • Clearly and concisely convey technical solutions and performance objectives while ensuring complete project alignment with client goals, project design, sustainability objectives, schedule, budget, constructability and post-occupancy performance
  • Perform onsite surveys of existing building conditions and documenting field measurements and observations
  • Perform construction phase activities including submittal review and construction site observations
  • Participate in cross-discipline career development. Engage in continuous learning opportunities, attend industry events, and participate in internal training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Adapt to various roles within a project and perform at a high level. Proactively accept tasks beyond the primary scope and adjust to changing priorities to ensure project success, team collaboration, and firm excellence
Desired Qualifications
  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
