Requirements
  • A college diploma in hospitality, operations, or business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational management tools.
  • Experience in remote camps.
  • Three to five or more years of coordination or administration experience within hospitality or remote camps.
  • Experience with rooms, front-desk operations, or scheduling is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing and a fitness test.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision during remote shifts.
  • Ability to work long shifts and rotational schedules, including nights, weekdays, weekends, and general holidays.
  • Ability to stand, walk, remain on-site for extended periods, and lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 40–50 pounds.
  • Ability to function effectively in varying environmental conditions, including extreme northern weather and limited daylight.
  • Ability to work for extended periods away from home in isolated conditions.
  • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability when collaborating with diverse teams, including Indigenous and Inuit staff.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily and rotation schedules, rooming lists, and check-in and check-out processes, and update rosters and distribution lists in real time.
  • Prepare and reconcile flight manifests, liaise with travel and workforce teams regarding crew changes, and communicate delays and impacts to site leaders.
  • Own front-office administration, including reception, radio and key issuance logs, visitor sign-in, mail and courier handling, and site communications.
  • Maintain document control for standard operating procedures, safety data sheet binders, HACCP logs, water-testing records, inspections, and corrective actions, including version control.
  • Assist with payroll and timekeeping by collecting and verifying timesheets, allowances, and overtime approvals and submitting them within deadlines.
  • Draft meeting agendas, capture minutes and action items, and follow up until closure with accountable owners.
  • Support health, safety, environment, and quality program administration, including incident and near-miss reporting, job hazard analyses, drill logistics, and records retention.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new arrivals, prepare welcome packages, and ensure required forms and access are in place.
  • Protect confidentiality and privacy when handling personnel information and client data and comply with company and client policies.
  • Run and manage the camp commissary or canteen, including setting hours, merchandise displays, pricing, and customer service.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system, handle cash and card transactions, perform daily cash-outs and reconciliations, and prepare deposit logs and petty-cash summaries.
  • Manage vending machines by restocking to par, clearing jams, performing basic troubleshooting, logging meter readings, reconciling cash, and coordinating vendor service calls.
  • Ensure commissary compliance with client and site policies and food-safety requirements for packaged goods, including HACCP and temperature control.

Dexterra Group revenue climbs 8% to $269M as EBITDA margin hits 12%

Dexterra Group reported strong Q2 2026 results, with revenue rising 8% year-over-year to $269 million and adjusted EBITDA increasing 9% to $33 million. The company achieved a 12% adjusted EBITDA margin and generated $22 million in free cash flow during the quarter. Support services revenue grew 10% to $226 million, whilst asset-based services revenue reached $43 million. The asset-based services segment saw its adjusted EBITDA margin improve to 40% from 38% in the prior year period, driven by higher-margin workforce accommodation rental revenue. Net debt decreased to $206 million from $225 million at the end of March 2026, representing 1.5 times adjusted EBITDA. The company's trailing 12-month return on equity reached 15.4%, meeting its 15% target. Dexterra declared a dividend of $0.10 per share, payable in October 2026.
