The role:
Newsela recently acquired Formative and is working on the consolidation of marketing email automation tools. The Marketing Operations Contractor will execute on the consolidation work as a part of a phased project. You’ll work closely with Marketing and Sales Operations team members to define technical requirements, integrate marketing technologies and rebuild email programs as a result of the consolidation. In this role, you thrive at collaborating with key stakeholders and you are an expert in Marketing email automation technology including, but not limited to, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Marketo.

- You’ll define requirements for importing product data, either manually or via a custom integration
- You’ll validate data for consistency and ensure unsubscribe lists are synchronized between SFMC and Marketo
- You’ll provide insight on best practices for building segments from the combined data
- You’ll optimize email templates using HTML and CSS
- You’ll use JavaScript and SQL to enhance email marketing programs

- You have 3+ years of experience executing and managing email automation tools
- You have demonstrated expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Marketo to successfully execute on this consolidation project
- You are proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL
- You have experience and knowledge of email marketing best practices
- You have experience with examples of a successful data migration and integration of marketing email automation tools
- You are knowledgeable with GDPR compliance and regulations
- You have exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in your work with data and processes
- You are an excellent communicator and collaborator working across sub teams and departments to translate technical requirements to the business needs
- You have a commitment to working 25-30 hours a week
Project Details:
- Project hours: ~480 total (assumes a four-month engagement)
- 25-30 hours a week
Compensation range: $40 - $45 hourly.This compensation range may be adjusted based on actual experience.
