Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on product design experience in a software product company, with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end UX/UI projects
  • Exceptional communicator who can clearly articulate design decisions and strategies to cross-functional teams, clients, and key stakeholders
  • Highly independent and proactive, capable of taking initiative and driving projects forward with minimal guidance, while keeping aligned with team goals
  • Skilled in translating complex user requirements into coherent design solutions focused on ease of use and delight
  • Effective in a multidisciplinary environment, able to balance diverse perspectives and contribute meaningfully to discussions
  • Demonstrated mastery of Figma with strong prototyping skills that set a standard for the team
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a holistic perspective and ensuring design consistency
  • Proven ability to work seamlessly across time zones as part of a global team, keeping projects aligned and on track
Responsibilities
  • Own critical aspects of our platform's product design, steering the user experience from prioritization through to launch
  • Partner closely with Principal Designers, Product Managers, and Engineering leads to translate our company’s strategy into impactful initiatives on the roadmap
  • Work closely with design teams from leading U.S. financial institutions to ensure a cohesive and unified design experience
  • Engage directly with customers to gather insights, develop prototypes, and use data and feedback to identify friction points and uncover improvement opportunities
  • Actively bring fresh ideas to foster stronger partnerships, proposing new collaboration methods and initiatives that enhance joint projects and drive mutual success
  • Actively participate in design critiques, story creation, weekly stand-ups, and other team rituals to foster a collaborative and aligned design culture

  • Skilled in presenting design concepts, feature flows, and solutions with clarity and impact to cross-functional teams, clients, and key stakeholders
  • Previous experience in marketing design, with a strong ability to create visually engaging assets that are aligned with brand messaging and effectively drive user engagement
  • Prior experience in fintech—especially with a focus on B2B payment platforms—will be invaluable in helping you navigate our product’s unique challenges and identify growth opportunities

Melio raised $150 million in a Series E funding round led by Fiserv, with participation from Shopify Ventures and Capital One Ventures, valuing the company at $2 billion.
