Requirements
  • High School Education or GED equivalency.
  • 1 year manufacturing experience
  • Willingness and ability to set up and operate induction and/or torch equipment.
  • Willingness and ability to use basic hand tools and measuring devices (verniers, micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Basic computer applications.
  • Willingness and ability to certify and qualify for Induction and/or Torch Braze Certification
  • Understanding of basic mathematical principles (may have to do conversions to decimal system and geometry).
  • Visual acuity exam required upon offer.
Responsibilities
  • Basic interpretation of blueprints and process sheets.
  • Use and set-up induction, solder iron, and torch braze equipment.
  • Use equipment to heat metal and flow braze/solder within the part.
  • Use cleaning equipment (Vapor Blaster & Ultrasonic Cleaning)
  • Use tinning acids & fluxes, prepare specific areas & tin.
  • May assist with proto-types or first-time builds.
  • Basic understanding of heat control principles.
  • Cross-train with employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.
  • Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation
  • Willingness and ability to perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements (i.e. – audit, customer requirements, etc.)
  • Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
  • Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
  • Understand and abides by the GE Leadership behaviors.
  • Participate in and support team initiatives.
  • Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures per position requirements.
  • Other duties as be required.
