Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Insurance Policy Operations and Customer Service.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business Operations, Sales, Business Administration preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
Responsibilities
  • Oversees a team of policy processing specialists providing guidance, support, and training to members, sets performance goals and conducts regular performance evaluations.
  • Identifies policy type and determines appropriate action needed for complex policies, makes appropriate updates to client database to meet regulatory obligations.
  • Reviews and approves insurance policy applications for accuracy and completeness, ensures compliance underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintains accurate records of policy transactions, endorsements, and other related documents, generates reports on departmental performance metrics.
  • Implements quality control measures to minimize errors and ensures data accuracy, conducts regular audits of policy documents and transactions.
  • Builds and maintains effective internal working relationships and supports the team in meeting company goals.
  • Communicates status updates and escalates issues and opportunities to meet the needs of clients and homeowners.
  • Addresses escalated customer inquiries and resolves issues related to policy processing, collaborates with customer service representatives and other departments.
  • Develops training materials and conducts training sessions for new hires and existing team members, keeps staff informed about changes in policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Collaborates with underwriters, actuaries, claims processors, and other departments as needed to facilitate smooth processing.
