The Digital Platform Engineering team is focused on building world-class platforms in the cloud, with capabilities and processes that enable our engineers to focus on delivering innovative customer-facing features. Our digital platform comprises of company-wide engineering capabilities like Data Platform, AI Platform, Customer Identity Platform, Developer Experience platform etc. and serves a variety of internal and external developers and services by creating secured paved roads for our cloud assets, building fully automated CICD pipelines, and enabling fast experimentation for our data science services.

As a Senior Software Engineer Frontend of Developer Experience at ResMed, you will enable ResMed to securely and seamlessly build front end components and libraries to enable Product teams. You will play an active role in defining how our applications look, feel and work. Key Deliverables

As a Senior Software Engineer Frontend, you must possess world class technical skills and a strong sense of empathy for your fellow developers.  You will work closely with other talented engineers, architects and senior stakeholders to architect, implement, and deliver on our roadmap.

• You have a developer first mindset with a deep empathy for the challenges of modern software development.
• You have a demonstrated track record of full-lifecycle product development from inception to happy customers.
• You are comfortable presenting your ideas to all levels of management including technical and non-technical audiences.
• You will drive our UI component and developer portal strategy and help drive ResMed’s developer community in that direction.
• Ensure security and compliance are integrated into all solutions following securities best practices including relevant regulations, risk prevention and data protection.
• Collaborate across the enterprise to drive consensus and understanding around our UI/UX strategy.
• Mentor junior UI developers on best practices in relation to React, Redux and TypeScript.
• Lead the design and development of our internal React Component Library based on Material UI. 
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of our micro application shell using React, Redux, Material UI and TypeScript.

Qualifications and Experience

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience delivering large and small codebases across TypeScript, React, Redux, Material UI, etc.
• Strongly held test practices regardless of language or tools.
• Deep knowledge of source control, branching & release strategies, pull requests and automated quality gates using tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
• 3+ years of experience in public cloud (AWS) in building services using cloud native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker would be a bonus.
• Excellent communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audience.
