What believers are saying

  • July 2026 Sanofi expansion raised eligible payments to $140 million.
  • Aqemia won a $7.4 million France 2030 grant for RNA programs.
  • The company opened London operations and targeted workforce growth by 2026.

What critics are saying

  • Sanofi concentrates validation risk; partner pullback would damage revenue and market signaling.
  • Aqemia still lacks clinical assets; failed in vivo optimization stalls 2026 trial plans.
  • Competitors with larger chemistry datasets can outrun QEMI; existential if platform never reaches clinic.

What makes Aqemia unique

  • QEMI blends generative AI with quantum-inspired physics for small-molecule design.
  • Sanofi expanded Aqemia’s collaboration in July 2026, validating platform credibility.
  • France 2030 funded RNA-targeting expansion, extending its physics-first discovery moat.
