Requirements
  • A Master's degree in a related discipline and three years of experience.

Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct experiments and studies requiring broad professional knowledge of scientific theories and principles.
  • Design and conduct independent experiments to complete a previously initiated study using multi-electrode recording.
  • Perform electrophysiological recordings in ongoing studies of sensory coding and neural plasticity in the mammalian olfactory bulb.
  • Perform slice recordings and in vivo whole-animal recordings.
  • Perform electrical recordings in response to optogenetic light stimulation.
  • Maintain and update laboratory notebooks and databases.
  • Complete data analysis associated with the multi-electrode project.
  • Organize study data and assemble it in figure format appropriate for publication.
  • Prepare summaries, reports, and presentations.
  • Train and provide support to staff on multi-electrode recording methods.
