Requirements
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, Bachelor's Degree in Education, Teaching Certificate, or a combination of experience and formal education.
- Relevant child care experience ideally with infants, toddlers, or pre-school aged children.
- Positive and clear communication skills specifically in speaking with parents.
- Classroom management skills are needed. Must have the ability to plan and implement curriculum and manage the flow of the day.
- Must be independent and self sustaining. This classroom is yours to run as you see fit.
Responsibilities
- The Lead Teacher reports to the Director of Child Care and is responsible for daily classroom routines and a curriculum that prepares students to rise into Kindergarten.
- Elementary school readiness is our goal for each child in this program and the Lead Teacher will ensure that necessary skills are taught and learned.
- Child Care Staff should be prepared to learn and execute all health and safety standards as mandated by the NJ Department of Children and Families.
