Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least one year of resident care experience is required.
  • Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide is required.
  • Knowledge and experience working with the elderly population is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Health and Wellness Director with daily operations of the Wellness Department through staffing scheduling, updating service plans as needed, assisting with phone calls, scheduling appointments, ordering supplies, filing, and other assigned duties.
  • Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents, staff, and families.
  • Coordinate interviews and orientation for new team members.
  • Ensure assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed, groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts.
  • Document and update the electronic health record as directed and under the supervision of the Health and Wellness Director.
  • Use electronic documentation devices appropriately and keep them safe and secure within the community.
  • Participate in and attend scheduled in-service training.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and community policies and procedures.
  • Perform and oversee staffing scheduling and staffing for the Wellness Department.
  • Assist with communication by telephone, facsimile, and email with families, physicians, third-party vendors, and staff.
  • Schedule appointments for residents as directed by nursing staff.
  • Be on call as required for staffing needs.

  • Dementia experience is preferred.
