MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. The Enhanced Capabilities for Subcritical Experiments (ECSE) program is seeking outstanding Pulsed Power Engineers at various career stages (Engineer I, Engineer II, and Senior Engineer) to work with a technical team to install, commission, and maintain the Scorpius Pulsed Power Linear Induction Accelerator. This high-current relativistic electron accelerator is driven by nearly 45,000 solid state pulsed power stages and is the most advanced accelerator the U.S. has ever developed. Successful candidates will work within a collaboration between the Nevada National Security Site, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Livermore National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratory to prepare the accelerator for state-of-the-art experiments and to solve challenging problems that will improve pulsed power and accelerator performance.
