Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
Responsibilities
  • Adapt teaching techniques at the child’s home to provide one-on-one developmental and behavioral support, understanding some patient styles may be more confrontational than others
  • Partner with a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans which may include many physical and mental exercises to provide optimal support to the assigned child
  • Use evidence-based techniques to engage actively with children with physical activity which may include standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting and at times carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds
  • Work one-on-one with children and families with autism to implement learning programs, collect data on target behaviors, communicate with stakeholders, maintain client confidentiality, and regularly meet with their direct leader
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if not already certified in past year)
  • One year of experience working with children ages 0-18 in a daycare, classroom setting preferred
  • One year of experience working one-on-one with clients in a behavioral health environment preferred
  • Flexibility to work in a family-home environment and within 15 minutes of residence
  • Hourly rate between $15-$18 with increases based on experience, certification level, and highest level of education
