Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, develop, and maintain a strategic roadmap for IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud solutions, and data storage, to support business areas.
  • Maintain employee capacity planning to identify bottlenecks and recruitment requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, applications, research and development, information security, and regulatory teams to align infrastructure with business demands and medical device lifecycle needs.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for infrastructure projects, including capital and operating expenditures.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts for IT infrastructure investments.
  • Monitor and report return on investment for infrastructure initiatives and identify cost-optimization opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
  • Evaluate technology decisions and vendor quotes for integration into manufacturing processes.
  • Lead meetings, strategic workshops, and planning sessions with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop, track, and report key performance indicators for IT infrastructure performance, including system uptime, cost efficiency, and compliance metrics.
  • Coordinate review sessions to assess infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement operational improvements.
  • Assess and select third-party vendors for hardware, software, and managed services.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and service-level agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and performance standards.
  • Monitor vendor performance, conduct periodic reviews, and mitigate vendor-dependency risks.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize information technology risks, including cybersecurity threats, data integrity issues, and system downtime.
  • Develop and implement risk-mitigation strategies to support compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
  • Lead system reliability and business-continuity planning and conduct regular testing to minimize disruption to manufacturing operations.
  • Oversee infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new deployments while ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver infrastructure projects that improve operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Coordinate compliance activities and deadlines for IT infrastructure systems.
  • Maintain audit documentation, including risk assessments, vendor evaluations, and financial justifications.
  • Provide remote on-call support during critical implementations or outages as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Medical device experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile, Project Management Professional, or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation or higher certification is preferred.
