The role:

We are looking for an Intermediate Backend Engineer to join the Felix Engineering team! Your day-to-day will consist of writing modular, well tested code that is easy to read and maintain. You will contribute to your team’s ceremonies such as daily stand-ups and sprint planning. You will collaborate closely with engineers on your own team and on other engineering pods to monitor and debug our system, as well as with the product, marketing and data teams to achieve our shared goals. Felix is a rapidly growing startup and you will have the opportunity to grow with us!

Responsibilities:

• Write code and build the software that will allow us to scale as we launch new products, enter new markets and expand into new healthcare categories

• Help us improve the reliability of our platform through rigorous testing, observability, and monitoring

• Contribute to the scoping and breakdown of our roadmap projects

• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of experience as a software engineer, building scalable web applications

• Familiarity with relevant tools and technologies, such as PHP/Laravel, JavaScript and Vue, with a drive to stay up-to-date with ongoing changes and advancements

• Clear communication around technical concepts and can collaborate with Product

• Comfort with ambiguity, an ability to create clarity and eagerness to problem solve and move projects and the team forward
