Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree, completed in the United States, U.S. territories, or through an accepted Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates or Fifth Pathway route.
  • Successfully completed an internship and residency in an accredited U.S. pediatric training program.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification using American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification using American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines; computer-based training does not fulfill the requirement.
  • Board eligible or board certified as required in the Task Order.
  • Permanent, full, and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in Nevada.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to pass a background and security investigation, pre-employment drug screening, and tuberculosis test.
  • Willingness to comply with Defense Health Agency vaccination requirements.
  • Ability to maintain good personal hygiene and a well-groomed, professional appearance in accordance with the policy at the place of performance.
Responsibilities
  • Perform the full range of general pediatric medical services, including diagnosing and treating urgent and acute diseases and injuries affecting the listed body systems.
  • Become familiar with the hospital formulary.
  • Prepare and maintain proper medical records for treated beneficiaries in accordance with Military Treatment Facility procedures.
  • Follow established operating procedures for the pediatric clinic.
  • Participate in the Pediatrics department's quality-control activities.
  • Work Monday through Friday between 0730 and 1630, including a one-hour lunch break, without exceeding 40 hours per week.
