  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical planning, and mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing) design and construction support on various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects, including facilities such as combined sewer overflow facilities, pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, and water treatment plants.
  • Prepare engineering calculations and support analysis of alternatives, and use technical writing to prepare memoranda documenting analyses, basis of design, and business case evaluations.
  • Prepare design reports and construction plans for treatment plants and pump stations using local and state standards.
  • Prepare or assist with specifications and permit submittals.
  • Assist with and review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks, and monitor task budget and progress.
  • Document design changes and communications.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and provide technical guidance during start-up as needed.
  • Prepare project status and other reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals.
  • Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
  • Maintain excellent client relations and a safe working environment.
