  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • At least 8 years of experience in system administration.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and technologies.
  • Experience with network security solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain information system components within Government-owned facilities.
  • Provides technical analysis in data network planning, engineering, and design, and implements techniques and tools to improve the network.
  • Responsible for network evaluations, network critical item tests, etc. integration, development, and operations support.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders to provide requirements and test procedures for network systems.
  • An understanding of hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as switches, routers, firewalls, etc. is required.
  • An understanding of OSPF, Static Routes, VLANs, L3 VLAN interfaces, ACLs, Multicast, PIM Dense and PIM Sparse, QoS fundamentals and application.
  • Integrate enterprise applications with other interconnected systems.
  • Provide escalation support to system support personnel.
  • Develop and implement network security solutions.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues.
  • Document network configurations and procedures.
  • Stay up to date on the latest networking technologies.
  • Train and mentor junior network engineers.
