Requirements
  • A current TS/SCI clearance with a current Single Scope Background Investigation within the five-year scope is required.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
  • At least one year of relevant experience performing Navy information assurance or cybersecurity functions is required.
  • Information assurance certification such as GIAC Security Leadership Certification, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, or Certified Information Security Manager is required.
  • Familiarity with the Navy Risk Management Framework process is required.
  • The candidate must be able to perform effectively individually and as part of a team.
  • The candidate must be technically proficient and possess strong communication skills.
  • The candidate must have effective critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • The candidate must be self-motivated and able to deliver successfully with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
Responsibilities
  • Support the program's authorization efforts throughout the Navy Risk Management Framework process.
  • Track the quality and timeliness of Risk Management Framework package artifacts and deliverables.
  • Analyze general information assurance-related technical problems and provide recommendations and technical support to solve them.
  • Assess and support implementation of solutions that meet network security requirements.
  • Review vulnerability and risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
  • Develop and review Risk Management Framework packages.
  • Support continuous improvement of strategies, processes, and procedures aligned with existing Department of the Navy processes.
  • Perform the necessary planning, outreach, execution, and dissemination of lessons learned and after-action reports.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in an information technology operational capacity, such as operations or project support and helpdesk work.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project-management skills.
  • Familiarity with United States Navy culture, processes, command organizations, and information technology infrastructures.
  • Experience analyzing general information assurance-related technical problems and providing recommendations and technical support to solve them.
  • Experience assessing and supporting implementation of solutions that meet network security requirements.
  • Experience with vulnerability and risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
  • Advanced technical-writing skills for developing documentation, reports, and training materials.
