Responsibilities
  • Responsible for utilizing available systems to obtain data for research studies and reports.
  • Responsible for determining appropriate statistical procedures for data analysis and implementing them effectively.
  • Responsible for solving statistical and data table relationship problems encountered in research and data management.
  • Responsible for creating programs and scripts to perform queries and comprehensive statistical analyses across multiple variables and time sequences.
  • Responsible for consolidating data from different databases and preparing integrated analyses.
  • Responsible for interpreting the statistical significance of project findings while coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Responsible for planning and conducting special studies and research projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for designing and executing statistical research projects to evaluate, design, and tabulate results in experimental and statistical design.
  • Responsible for reviewing subordinate or peer technical studies and research, challenging or validating findings based on their impact on national missions, programs, or directives.
  • Responsible for serving as a recognized authority and expert in statistics or related regulatory fields, developing complex programs of scientific conclusions, opinions, and recommendations critical to the mission.
  • Responsible for acting as a technical authority in the development and interpretation of organizational guidelines.
  • Responsible for reviewing organizational statistical measurements, reports, and documents for policy implications and impacts on organizational, district, and industry activities.
  • Responsible for reporting and/or publishing experimental designs, statistical methodology, and research findings, either individually or collaboratively.
  • Responsible for giving briefings and presentations on research efforts to diverse audiences.
  • Responsible for providing expert analysis and advice on Division-, District-, or agency-wide programs of national impact, including applying advanced techniques to evaluate findings, reconciling policy and program goals, recommending solutions, and formally presenting comprehensive resolution recommendations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree preferred in statistics, mathematics, data analytics, or a related field
  • Experience applying advanced statistical techniques such as regression analysis, multivariate analysis, mixed models, survival analysis, and logistic regression
  • Proven experience developing and implementing new statistical methodologies or survey designs
  • Experience consolidating data from multiple sources and performing integrated analyses for descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive purposes
