Requirements
  • A master's degree in Music, or a master's degree or higher with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Music History.
  • Teaching experience at the college level or in a similar educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to student success and academic excellence.
  • Unofficial transcripts for all degrees and related degree work must be submitted during the application process.
  • All persons hired must submit satisfactory proof of employment authorization and identity within three days of being hired.

Responsibilities
  • Teach, conduct, and develop Music Appreciation courses.
  • Collaborate with other music faculty at Kilgore College.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs and goals of students.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay current with pedagogy and performance practices to ensure high-quality instruction.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
