Responsibilities
  • Oversee preparation and scheduling of international shipments to achieve on-time shipping performance, including documentation and freight arrangements.
  • Manage departmental budgets and logistics spending.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities across logistics spending categories.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, processes, and procedures aligned with Food Equipment Group and corporate sourcing objectives.
  • Work with freight brokers and forwarders to optimize shipping methods while balancing service, cost, and efficiency.
  • Address in-transit damage issues and drive continuous improvement with key stakeholders.
  • Communicate the potential impact of inflation on North American logistics costs.
  • Monitor changes in customs, shipping, tariff, trade, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, assess business implications, and ensure compliance.
  • Support sustainability and responsible sourcing initiatives as required.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and performance-manage team members, ensuring succession planning and cross-functional coverage.
  • Manage and oversee the audit and payment of logistics partners, including freight, duty, customs fees, penalties, and detention charges.
  • Oversee participation in the United States Customs Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism program, including revalidations, annual reviews, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement and other Free Trade Agreement qualification, certification, and documentation processes.
  • Monitor tariff and trade policy changes and assess and communicate their impact on business costs, supply chain risk, and sourcing strategies.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with employees, management, suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Manage a team of associates responsible for supply chain logistics management.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Supply Chain or Logistics concentration within the required Bachelor's Degree.
  • Knowledge or experience with import traffic, air, ocean, and truck or rail transportation, including coordination, booking, tracking, and payment.
  • Knowledge or experience with United States Customs compliance activity, including Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification, Other Government Agency requirements, antidumping and countervailing duties, and Importer Security Filing.
  • Experience establishing good relationships and contributing to a team environment.
  • An entrepreneurial approach to driving organizational focus on key initiatives and opportunities.

ITW raises dividend 7% and authorises $6B share buyback programme

Illinois Tool Works Inc. has announced a 7% increase in its annual dividend, raising it from $6.44 to $6.88 per share. The fourth-quarter dividend of $1.72 will be payable on 9 October 2026 to shareholders of record on 30 September 2026. The company's board has also authorised a new $6 billion share repurchase programme. Management will determine the timing and volume of buybacks at its discretion. Christopher O'Herlihy, president and chief executive officer, said the moves reflect the strength of ITW's business model and confidence in long-term growth and free cash flow generation. This marks the company's 63rd consecutive annual dividend increase. ITW is a Fortune 300 manufacturing company with $16 billion in revenue in 2025.
