- As a Product Owner role within the Credit Administration group, you will be responsible for driving and developing end-to-end product roadmap for the Credit Reporting platforms and products, while ensuring timely delivery of features and functionality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong product management background, be steeped in Design Thinking, Lean UX, and agile delivery methodologies, and have a data-driven approach to decision making. Ideal candidates will have a background in credit data. This role will partner with stakeholders to identify business requirements, gaps in existing capabilities and defines opportunities to build technology products based on current and future application platforms that improve the business processes and accelerate critical business strategies. This Product Owner will be responsible for synthesizing requirements from the stakeholder into prioritized user stories, approving features that are in alignment with agreed upon acceptance criteria, and providing feedback to the team with a strong decision-making mindset. You will drive product delivery from inception until the solution enters production while also participating in standard Scrum activities including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.

- Primary responsibilities include:
- · Demonstrate prior experience in developing credit data mart and the technology infrastructure related for reporting & analytics.
- Be a liaison for credit administration as it relates to data infrastructure with our stakeholders including Technology, Data team IT, credit reporting and other teams
- Partner with Credit Internal analytics to help build next gen reporting infrastructure that would advance self-service analytics capabilities
- Demonstrate an ability to collaborate with developers and data engineers to define the technology infrastructure and data architecture.
- Possess a strong product management background, be steeped in Design Thinking, Lean UX, and agile delivery methodologies, and have a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Develop and translate our high-level strategic vision into product roadmaps
- Understand user needs, identify the problem, and market opportunity, ideate solutions, prototype, and validate hypotheses.
- Harness the power of a cross-functional team to take a product from concept to launch. From creating your product backlog and grooming features, to hardening code and shipping product, you will be empowered to define the future of your product.
- Leverage data to unlock new experiences and new features that deliver the full potential of SVB to our clients.
- Explore new approaches, methodologies, and technologies in an ever evolving and changing world
- Evangelize your products to internal stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Product management experience in managing cross-functional business systems initiatives/projects with a broad knowledge of the financial services systems,
- Broad experience desired, in multiple domain areas, such as data warehousing, business intelligence (BI), data architecture, data integration.
- Familiarity with databases, SQL querying is mandatory
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and visualization tools such as Tableau is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or quantitative discipline, such as economics, finance, mathematics, or statistics
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Strong initiative, intellectual curiosity, ownership, and attention to detail
- Strong technical skills with a business acumen and ability to work across the organization to develop solutions to complex problems
- Strong understanding and working experience with design-thinking best practices to deliver industry-defining digital products and experiences
- Agile experience is mandatory
