We are seeking a Bioinformatics Software Test Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team, which is tasked to develop a world-class fully automated instrument system for high precision proteomic analysis. The individual should enjoy working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, and be prepared to tackle a broad selection of challenges as the company grows.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Design and develop test methods and test protocols for functional software verification
- Creating, maintaining, and executing test plans
- Creating test reports
- Reporting issues clearly, including steps leading to the issue
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to understand and document system and test requirements
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar and 2+ years experience in software testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Working knowledge of scripting language (R Python) and/or exposure to different programming languages. Required (Cypress/ Selenium)
- Experience with issue tracking and test planning software systems (Github)
- Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience diagnosing and debugging complex systems
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivation with a positive “can do” attitude and attention to details.
- Diagnostic equipment or services in the life sciences industry knowledge/experience preferred
- This position is expected to be hybrid, coming onsite to our Fremont office at least twice a week to start

The base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000 - $125,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
