Budget Support Analyst, Mid

The Opportunity:  

The right mixture of great ideas and funding can create change. In a complex organization, allocating funding to where it can be most effective can be challenging. That’s why we need you, a financial analyst who can easily navigate the requirements, policies, and regulations that govern funding, to make sure the Department of Defense’s resources can make the most impact. 

As a Financial Analyst on our team, you’ll create a financial management strategy to help DoD cybersecurity activities succeed. You’ll work with task leads to develop an actionable plan for your client to secure the funding needed to achieve their goals. 

Using your knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies, you’ll help your client develop well-formed requirements. Once the funding is in place, you’ll make sure the funding is used efficiently through consistent tracking and communication with project management. This is your chance to work on high-level acquisition and cyber security while imparting your financial analysis expertise to your team.

You Have: 

• 10+ years of experience in a professional work environment

• Experience with the DoD

• Experience with supporting budget development, management, program, or planning processes

• Experience with contracts, such as contract types and structures, or developing contract strategies

• Experience with resource management, including Contracting Officer Representative responsibilities

• Ability to communicate clearly via oral, written, and visual means

• Top Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with supporting enterprise-level budget planning, justification, and certifications, including priority trade-offs

• Experience with the DoD PPBE tools

• Knowledge of cybersecurity and cybersecurity programs

• Knowledge of DoD acquisition programs

• Knowledge of the issue paper process or justification of funding

• Ability to balance multiple diverse workstreams and work collaboratively across teams

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $106,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
