  • 15+ years in software engineering, 10+ in engineering leadership roles, at least 3 years managing managers
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience working in Infrastructure organization managing hosted environments
  • Experience managing infrastructure integrations that are in the critical path of operations (e.g. access management)
  • Experience building or leading infrastructure teams in a SaaS environment, ideally in AWS
  • Prior experience with AWS account management and/or cost management strategies (reserved instances, spot instances, etc.)
Responsibilities
  • Establish a dedicated Infrastructure & Cloud Operations organization within engineering
  • Manage existing SR/DevOps and Infrastructure teams and extend to include cloud operations functions and IAM/Identity Management
  • Lead a team on the journey of maturing our application and operating posture
  • Inspire and grow infrastructure into a mature organization that delivers value for internal engineering stakeholders
  • Provide overall oversight for the projects within your domain
  • Make appropriate risk-based tradeoff decisions
  • Collaborate with other engineering leaders to drive the best overall outcomes for Rula
  • Use excellent communication skills to effectively manage out and up in the organization on Infrastructure and execution-related topics
