Requirements
  • PhD degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • One (1) year of experience in the position offered or a related position
  • One (1) year of experience with engineering, analyzing, implementing, interpreting, validating, optimizing, and testing software for cloud computing environments using the Python ecosystem and Kubernetes ecosystem
  • One (1) year of experience with engineering, analyzing, implementing, interpreting, validating, optimizing, and testing numerically heavy software systems using floating-point numbers and common numerical software packages including pandas, NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib, and Excel
  • One (1) year of experience with engineering, implementing, analyzing, interpreting, validating, optimizing, and testing APIs built using the Python ecosystem and deployed using the Kubernetes ecosystem
  • One (1) year of experience with designing, implementing, and testing GUIs using the Python ecosystem
  • One (1) year of experience with engineering, designing, and testing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and the Kubernetes ecosystem
  • One (1) year of experience with analyzing, interpreting, optimizing, and testing statistical models related to cyber insurance and cyber risk, based on Monte Carlo simulations, integrals and derivatives, and statistical distributions
  • One (1) year of experience with designing and implementing slides on technical/mathematical concepts using PowerPoint for non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
  • Engineer software solutions to meet the requirements and needs of MMC Cyber Risk Intelligence Center (CRIC)
  • Develop and maintain software engineering standards and best practices
  • Provide guidance to CRIC team members on software engineering, automated testing, documentation, efficient model execution times, reproducible model results, and scalable software patterns
  • Engineer, develop, and maintain software frameworks and software tools to streamline and automate the development of internal CRIC's workflows
  • Engineer, develop, and maintain application programming interfaces (APIs) that expose CRIC's products, services, and data to consumers
  • Engineer, develop, and maintain graphical user interfaces (GUIs) that expose CRIC's products, services, and data to consumers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g. software engineers, product managers, team leads, C-suites, etc.) and internal regulatory groups (e.g. internal lawyers and security teams) to expose CRIC's products, services, and data to both internal users within MMC and external customers
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors on product integration work
