Nomad Coffee goes live with Zoku Built for NetSuite Restaurant POS and KDS.

Nomad Coffee goes live with Zoku Built for NetSuite Restaurant POS and KDS. Zoku has deployed its Built for NetSuite Point of Sale (POS) and Kitchen Display System (KDS) for Nomad Coffee, a multi-location specialty coffee group based in Barcelona, Spain. The initial rollout begins at Frutas Selectas, recently ranked among the Top 20 Coffee Shops in the World. For hospitality operators, growth often exposes the limits of disconnected store systems. Running standalone POS, payments, kitchen, and inventory tools alongside NetSuite through middleware can lead to broken menu syncs, delayed reporting, API sync failures, duplicate transaction records, and hours spent reconciling sales, payments, and inventory consumption across separate systems. With Zoku Built for NetSuite Restaurant POS and KDS, Nomad Coffee has consolidated counter service, tablet-based table ordering, kitchen workflows, centralized recipes, real-time inventory consumption, and integrated payments directly inside NetSuite. Zoku also helped Nomad Coffee implement integrated payment processing with highly competitive transaction pricing. Orders placed at the counter or through tablets route instantly to kitchen operations. At the same time, sales transactions, ingredient depletion, menu pricing updates, and operational reporting remain centralized inside the ERP. What this means for finance, operations, and IT: Finance teams gain real-time visibility into margins, payments, sales, and inventory consumption without waiting for delayed middleware syncs or end-of-day reconciliation. Operations teams can track store performance, menu execution, consumption patterns, and wastage across locations from one operational system. IT teams no longer have to maintain fragile restaurant integrations, disconnected reporting layers, or multiple synchronization points between systems. The deployment also gives Nomad Coffee flexibility to support different operating models, including table service, fast counter operations, and pop-up event activations. Nomad can reuse existing hardware and add devices based on workflow, customer experience, and staff needs instead of being forced into a vendor-locked hardware setup. Unlike standalone restaurant POS setups that depend on external middleware connectors to synchronize operational data through interval scheduling or end-of-day batch processing, Zoku processes restaurant operations directly inside NetSuite. This gives hospitality operators and NetSuite partners a centralized way to manage restaurant commerce, inventory, recipes, kitchen operations, payments, and financial reporting across locations.

Evonik extends CEO Christian Kullmann contract until 2030.

Evonik extends CEO Christian Kullmann contract until 2030. * April 20, 2026 German chemicals manufacturer Evonik has extended the contract of chief executive officer Christian Kullmann until 2030 following an extraordinary general meeting. The company's supervisory board also appointed Michael Rauch as its new chief financial officer, effective 1 May. Kullmann has been with Evonik since 2003 and was appointed chief strategy officer in 2014; he has been heading its management board since May 2017. "Christian Kullmann stands for stability and continuity in challenging times," said supervisory board chairman Bernd Tönjes. "He has steered Evonik through difficult waters in recent years. The supervisory board is counting on the Executive Board to keep the course and continue to make Evonik fit for the future," he added. Rauch, meanwhile, will join from Swiss vending machine operator Selecta, where is currently interim CEO. He knows the chemical industry from his 16 years at Henkel, the German maker of adhesives, sealants and coatings, where he held various strategy and finance positions in Germany, Sweden and China. "In Michael Rauch, Evonik has found a CFO who has a great deal of experience with transformation," said Tönjes. "We are convinced that he combines the best qualities overall to make Evonik even more weatherproof in a volatile market environment through resilient financial management," he added.

B&M interim profits slump, reshuffles leadership team

B&M interim profits slump, reshuffles leadership team. Troubled UK discount retailer B&M on Thursday reported a slump in half-year profits and leadership team reshuffle under new chief executive Tjeerd Jegen. Pre-tax profit for the six months to September 27 fell 55.6% to £75m despite a 4% rise in revenue to £2.74bn. The dividend was slashed by 34% to 3.5p a share. "Our Back to B&M Basics plan is progressing and we are taking decisive actions to improve our retail execution and restore our financial performance. While the full financial benefits will build over time, I am confident our actions can restore sustainable like-for-like sales growth... and, in the medium term, low double-digit UK adjusted EBITDA margins as an outcome," Jegen said. He added that Simon Hathway had been appointed as group trading director having worked as buying and merchandising director at Dutch retailer Action Holding, with Helen Cowing also joining as interim chief financial officer having worked at Selecta Group, FatFace and Mobico. Supply chain and retail operations were brought together under Jon Parry "in order to create a simpler and more cohesive structure", Jegen said. UK total sales rose by 3.5%, boosted by store openings, with like-for-like sales edging 0.1% higher. A "back to basics" plan launched last month was progressing, with changes to prices already taking place as the company "sharpened" its price offer, including reductions. It also significantly reduced its product range to simplify its operations and cut costs.
